This past December, I joined about a dozen talented photographers in Miami, Florida for an awesome workshop all about shooting film, FILM IS NOT DEAD: Miami. There were many models that we photographed at the mansion … These were taken on my Canon EOS3 & Portra 400 film, developed at Walmart (not recommended).

Last weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of presenting on a live webinar hosted by New York-based wedding and portrait photographer, Mark Kumar. When he first contacted me with this “crazy idea” (as he puts it) I honestly couldn’t think of how I could contribute … What would I possibly know that would interest someone else— that would keep their attention for an hour?? Doesn’t he know that I talk too much and too fast sometimes??

Bonny & Derrick’s Bali Wedding was featured on Junebug Weddings today!!! WAHOO!!! Big congrats to every vendor who made this beautiful wedding happen!! This is a personal milestone for me as this is my first-ever national real wedding feature!!! Something that we forgot to mention in the article is that Kayumanis Nusa Dua Bali held the traditional Muslim wedding ceremony on a floating stage over their pool for the first time. Also a very first, the photographer was a woman, including her assistant— this is uncommon in Indonesia … The photographer was me!
If you know Kristen, then she may have already given you a nickname or two. They range anywhere from your name shortened then pronounced twice, like Ne-Ne, or what sounds like kisses. Mwah-Mwah? That’s how she makes you feel … Like you’re a part of what makes her smile. A big part of what makes Kristen smile is Shadi … (She makes him smile, too!) When Kristen’s happy, Shadi’s happy. Kristen & Shadi: I hope you two have a fab-fab time on your FABULOUS honeymoon in Bora Bora!!!
